Conveniently located at 7000 Geary Blvd in San Francisco, Pacific Cafe offers a delightful culinary experience that masterfully blends the freshest seafood with classic American flavors. This beloved neighborhood gem specializes in seafood dishes that taste as comforting as they are sophisticated, making each visit a memorable indulgence.

From the moment you arrive, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The cozy corner spot radiates charm and friendliness, creating the perfect backdrop for family dinners, casual dates, or gatherings with friends. A notable highlight is their complimentary wine, served generously while you wait for your table—a thoughtful touch that immediately begins the indulgence.

The menu itself is a treasure trove of seafood delights. Start your journey with the Calamari Vinaigrette, a tender and crisp appetizer that perfectly balances bright, tangy flavors. The Pacific Clam Chowder Bowl is a creamy, soulful starter that warmly embraces you with its rich depth and heartiness, complimented beautifully by slices of aromatic San Francisco sourdough bread—a local delight on its own.

For the main event, dishes like the Petrale Sole Newburg truly shine—this elegant entrée features delicate sole stuffed with crab, all baked in a luscious lobster-based sherry cream sauce that is both indulgent and refined. Fans of grilled seafood rave about the Trout with Rice Pilaf, Capers & Mushrooms, which delivers a seamless blend of earthy mushrooms, briny capers, and tender fish. The Snapper Spicy with Garlic Butter provides a wonderful contrast, marrying a subtle kick with the richness of garlic-infused butter and perfectly steamed vegetables.

Not to be missed, the Dungeness Crab Cakes command attention with their generous portions and impeccable seasoning, a favorite highlighted repeatedly by loyal patrons. Meanwhile, the comforting Salmon Bisque and the crisp, vibrant Shrimp Louie Salad offer great alternatives for those who appreciate diversity in textures and flavors.

Guests often praise the attentive service and the atmosphere where everyone—from regulars to first-timers—feels welcomed and well-cared for. The staff’s friendly approach, combined with prompt seating and careful attention, enhances the overall experience. Whether you crave the buttery indulgence of Baked Scallops with Garlic Butter Sauce, the classic richness of Halibut Parmesan, or a perfectly grilled New York Steak alongside your seafood feast, Pacific Cafe delivers quality and flavor at an unbeatable value. Their impressive beer selection—including popular options like Amstel Light and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale—perfectly complements the menu, ensuring your meal is rounded out with the ideal sip.

In sum, Pacific Cafe isn’t just another seafood restaurant—it’s a place where comforting flavors meet genuine hospitality, topped off with a thoughtful touch of free wine that turns waiting into anticipation. Complementary wine while you wait… Need, I say more? This cozy corner spot is in demand almost every evening, because of the delicious seafood, the charming atmosphere, and the free wine. I’ve been here two times now, and I would say that. I love the crab cakes and the Parmesan Halibut. Friends in my party. Had the shrimp Louie salad the salmon and the delicious chocolate cake for dessert.. you really can’t go wrong. They’ve been around since the 1970s that tells you something.

This unpretentious family restaurant is a hidden gem known only to locals and not frequented by tourists. They offer a delicious array of fresh seafood and excellent, friendly service. One thing that sets this restaurant apart is their complimentary wine service while you wait for your table. They keep your glass full until you are seated. It's a great place to take out-of-town friends. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Service was extremely fast and they do serve wine to waiting customers. Parking can be very difficult to come by. Food was pretty good but some dishes sounded better on the menu than they tasted. For the price, it's an unbeatable value and the seafood is fresh, sourdough bread is delicious and a SF delicacy. Good portions.

The wait for our party of 6 was over an hour but the food and service was well worth it. The bring you free wine and water while you wait, super nice touch. The scallops, halibut, calamari and clam chowder were beyond delicious.

I was first introduced to Pacific Cafe by my uncles who have been coming here since the first year it opened. 50 years later and it still stands the test of time and is one of the best restaurants in the Bay Area. I always make it a point to stop when I'm back and visiting friends. You absolutely can't miss the calamari vinaigrette or the clam chowder. Make sure to save room for the chocolate cake, it’s to die for! I seriously cannot say enough good things about Pacific Cafe. The food, the wait staff, the old school ambience, plus the free wine while you wait doesn't hurt. Do yourself a favor and check out Pacific Cafe.

My boyfriend and I each noticed the seafood restaurant on the side of the road as we were driving to the 34th ave parking to go to the lands end park trails this evening. On the way back we decided to stop and have dinner at the seafood restaurant, and wow I'm glad we did! There was a small wait around 6 pm on a Saturday night, but they welcomes us in and took our name and gave us complementary wine while we were waiting. The vibe was a friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent, so fresh. We had spicy snapper which I highly recommend and would love to have again when we return. Everything on the menu looked so good, we would love to come back and try more. Can't wait until next time.
